The Stables is a luxurious boutique-style self catering holiday cottage for two, situated 20 paces (literally) from the edge of the Snowdonia National Park and with a wealth of wonderful walking trails/biking/climbing on the door step.   If you are looking for a special place to stay in North Wales this is the place for you.

The Stables form part of the Old Coach House at Plas Tan yr Allt- the former home of Alexander Maddocks founder of Porthmadog and Tremadog and is Grade II listed.  We have lovingly converted the buildings, bringing them back to life and renovating them to a high standard whilst maintaining many of  original features including the oak lintels above doors and windows and the vaulted ceiling on the upper floor... The original cobble and massive slate floor which had been buried under tonnes of sand has been recycled as paving and window ledges.

Unfortunately, as the gardens are communal, we cannot accept dogs but we can lend you a couple of little friends who are always happy to go for a walk!!
